SS18 Collection Breakdowns; Rich Mnisi, Thebe Magugu & Judith Atlier from SA Fashion Week
Thebe Magugu SS18
Layers layers and more layers were the theme for this collection. No holds bar on color here we saw a splatter of it in every piece bringing life to every look. We saw pieces with a variation of sleeves from long cuffed to 3/4 sleeves. Layered dresses and skirts gave us chic with a hint of steetstyle to lighten up the feel with cropped pants to bring an upbeat vibe with elegance. Most notable was the bright use of yellow blue and pink and a piece with sleeves with the delicate translucence of jellyfiish. Big bold and bright, this collection brought life to the runway.
Rich Mnisi SS18
Accessorized with oversized hats this collection brought an effortless eccentricity to the runway. The playful incorporation of bright patterns and animal prints gave us goosebumps and took our breath away. The ladies showcased asymmetrical cuts flowing with loose fits and belted waistlines to elongate the A-line flare. The men's range sported animal print and bright pieces with high cut, high waisted and knee length coats which made us tingle with the memories of the late 70's and early 80's.
